Give your AI a memory (it takes 30 seconds)

Every new chat starts from zero. You explain who you are, what you make, and how you like things written — again, and again, and again. That's not a limitation of the tool. It's a gap you can close in 30 seconds.

The move: give it a memory, not a re-introduction

A chatbot that's never met you gives you generic output, because generic is all it has to go on. The fix isn't a smarter prompt. It's a profile — a short block of context you write once and hand it at the start of anything real. Paste this into Claude or ChatGPT, fill in your own answers, and save it somewhere you can grab fast:

Here's who I am and how I work. Use this for everything I ask you from now on:

- Who I am: [your role, what you actually do]
- What I make: [the real output — briefs, decks, scripts, code, whatever]
- My voice in 3 words: [e.g. direct, warm, no fluff]
- My standards: [what "good" looks like for you — e.g. "short sentences," "no hedging," "always flag what's missing before I ask"]

Paste it at the top of your next task, or drop it into your custom instructions so it's there permanently. Either way, something shifts. It stops sounding like it's meeting you for the first time. It starts sounding like it already knows the job.
