  • The Creators Guild of America (CGA) is trying to bring more structure and advocacy to the creator industry by verifying professionals and providing career development resources.

  • While we applaud them for this important work, eg: members get accreditation for their work in a database, similar to IMDb for tracking credits. My doubts are swimming here as beloved creators like Hank Green couldn't keep similar efforts afloat.

  • Groups like SAG-AFTRA opened membership in 2021 to influencers but they don’t negotiate directly with social media platforms on behalf of members.
